Did It!

When is the last time you set out on what you really thought would be impossible?  For me, this occurred a few years ago.  It was the very strong impression that I should write a book about how good God has been to me over the years.

The first struggle was that I could not believe that anyone would ever want to read it.  The second was, well, how does one go about writing a book?  This went on for some time until a preacher came from the US and started telling me that he thought I should be writing.

I could not believe my ears.  Was this direction from God and not just my fantasy?  I decided to make enquiries and after some time learned a lot about book writing and even got the software that will assist.  In fact, the last twelve months it has taken most of my time.  And now it is done.  I want to shout “Hooray!”.

So, with this post I want to tell you that when you think it is just your imagination, it very well might be the work of God telling you to step out of your comfort zone.  I am now in the process of publishing it, no small feat.  Look for it from November.

I am eagerly looking for the day it will be in shops and then to hear what folks think of it.  It has taken a lot of time and effort, but I do believe that it is what God wanted.  It is amazing how his opinion of my ability so far outstrip what I really think I can do.  And now I have been proven wrong and He has been proven correct again.

We need to remember that we are not doing this alone.  Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20)
